This year my sweet family of 4 celebrated Christmas 3 times! The first time on Christmas Day at our house with my parents. The second time right before New Year’s at my parent’s house with my sister and her boyfriend, and the third time last week with the Hubs parent’s and sister here at our house.  Bean, my daughter was thrilled to have 3 Christmases, we assured her that this was not something that would be happening every year.

Because our third Christmas was last week, it meant that our Christmas decor stayed up until this past weekend.  When everything was all packed up and put away I looked around the house and thought how naked and void of personality it looked, at least compared to being decorated for Christmas. So today, I look for Valentine’s Day Decor Inspiration. And where else do I turn when looking for inspiration but Pinterest?  Follow us here.

Let the inspiration begin!

From Modge Podge Rocks! Modge Podge Window Clings using just Modge Podge and acrylic paint! Heading to Michael’s tomorrow to pick up some fun acrylic paint colors!

This paint chip heart garland from Grace and Light Studio is so pretty. I just love the burst of color that it would add to a room. I went and grabbed some paint chips from my local Lowes recently and received a pretty odd look from the lady working there. I wonder if they know that crafters use the paint chips for craft projects? I’ll be picking up a heart punch at Michael’s tomorrow.

This paper heart garland looks super easy and would be a fun project to make with Bean while The Turtle is napping. All you need is paper, scissors and a stapler.

My snowman embroidery hoop art that was on our front door has come down, and I need something to replace him with. Perhaps this paper heart wreath from The Hybrid Chick?

I’m so proud to be your cousin! I’m totally trying the heart wreath with my students. Keep em coming.

    1. Awwww Sandy. You are so sweet. I’m proud to be your cousin too. I’ll try to come up with lots of student friendly projects. 🙂 What grade do you teach again?

  2. I’m proud to be your cousin too! Hahaha – just kidding 😀

    1. Oh my goodness Amy! You just made my night by commenting on my blog. Seriously such a huge fan of Modge Podge Rocks. Thank you so much for coming to take a look. I have a post scheduled next week with Modge Podged mason jars. I did them with small mason jars and filled them with homemade spice blends for Christmas. I’d love to send you the link when I put it up. 🙂

  3. We made the heart garland today and I took a photo of it but can’t post photos as part of a comment on your blog. Well! Then I’ll just tell you: It’s gorgeous! 🙂 The girls and I got further carried away and decorated a little indoor tree with the hearts. Great idea to pick up a few paint chips cards! Oh, I didn’t have a heart stamp so we cut out each one and while they are not identical, they are close enough and charming that way too.

    Awesome ideas, Crystal!

    1. Hanna!!! I’m so excited that you made them. I went and looked for the heart press on Thursday but it was $20 so I too decided to cut them out by hand. I just haven’t gotten around to it yet. I would love to see pictures! Can you post them on the Sew Creative Facebook page? http://www.facebook.com/sewcreativeblog.
