In reply to <a href="https://hellocreativefamily.com/10-minute-diy-leather-heart-mom-keychain/comment-page-2/#comment-181477">Jessica</a>.

Hi Jessica,

Oh no! I'm so sorry to hear that you are having problems. Hmmmm. Can you tell me a bit more about what you are experiencing? A few trouble shooting questions for you:

1. Are you using Cricut brand leather? I've had issues cutting other leather with my Cricut and find that the Cricut leather really is the best for cutting.

2. How old is your deep point blade? I used a fresh blade for this project and now use that blade just for leather. If you have used it for something else like felt it might be too dull. I have recently started using each of my blades for just one type of material. So for example I have one fine point blade for paper, one fine point blade for vinyl and htv, one knife blade for basswood, one knife blade for chipboard, 1 deep point blade for leather and one deep point blade for felt.

3. Is your project sliding around or is it secure but just not cutting all the way through? If it's sliding around try using a new strong grip mat and/or you can use some painters tape to tape the leather to the mat.

4. If your leather is nicely positioned and just not cutting all the way through have you tried using the option to increase the pressure and/or hitting the Cricut C again before unloading to have it do extra cuts until the leather is cut all the way through?

I hope these points help you a bit. If you want to reply in the comments I can try to help you trouble shoot more. :)

Best Wishes,

Crystal

Hi Christine,

Thank you for visiting and for your question. Do you mean the little heart cutout? I just pop the piece in like it's a little puzzle piece and then I use e6000 glue to make it stick to make the front heart (including the mini heart) to connect to the back heart.

I hope that helps!

Best Wishes,

Crystal
