Congrats on finding a cast iron frying pan you love! The SK stands for skillet and the 8 likely has to do with the size. Made in the USA is awesome of course. I&#039;m not sure what the D1 stands for but when I&#039;ve googled it&#039;s common to find d1 and d2 on a pan. Here is a site that has some more info about what the different stamps mean:
