Summer Birthdays

Hello Creative Family celebrating a summer birthday.

My birthday falls in the first half of July, and my son’s birthday is in the second half of June.

The two of us definitely relate to our water loving Cancer horoscope sign. My husband is from Saskatchewan and I always tell him that I would never be able to live somewhere away from the ocean.

My dream would be to one day live right on the ocean, but in the meantime I’m coping with living minutes from the Fraser River which leads right to the ocean. The ocean itself is only a 15 minute drive away.

I’ve had many ocean themed birthdays over my lifetime so when I heard that our theme for the month was banners I had immediate ocean inspiration and my mind went straight to mermaid themed!

I have this Birthday Mermaid cut file in my shop which is one of my bestselling cut files and I thought that having a banner to go with it would be so much fun! How cute is this onesie made with heat transfer vinyl?!?! It would also look so cute on a t-shirt or mug!

Each of the letters in this adorable cut file have sweet little mermaid scales on them! You can make it using your favorite mermaid color cardstock and iron-on. I used gold glitter iron-on for my letters and I loved how it turned out. It’s even cuter than it looks in the photos!

Cricut Canada Love and Learn Facebook Page

As usual, my Cricut Facebook group got a sneak peek of my new cut file! Have you joined yet? If not, what are you waiting for? The group is called Cricut Canada Love and Learn but it’s for Cricut crafters worldwide!
