I used your recipe as a base, but made some changes. We have had cherry flavored beer in the fridge forever. Nobody liked it to drink, but I thought cherry and chocolate go very well together, so I used the cherry beer. Then instead of using peanuts, I added some cherry preserves into the frosting. What a hit! The flavors are sublte, but very good. Everyone loved them.
