COUNTDOWN TO CHRISTMAS DAY 5 GIFTS FOR HER:
My friend Karen has recently discovered the health benefits of essential oils and has passed her obsession love along to me. Did you know that essential oils can help with ailments like insomnia, fevers, colds, overeating and headaches? It’s really true! Today I thought that I would share with you a few of my favorite essentials from Escents Aromatherapy.
Gift Idea #1- Ultramist Ultrasonic Aromatherapy Diffuser Cone I remember being in my early 20’s and burning essential oils in my apartment. It made me feel like a grownup (I was never allowed to burn candles in my room as a kid, my parents thought I would burn the house down). Then I had kids of my own and I realized why kids and open flames are not a good idea. So ended my love affair with essential oils… until I discovered ultrasonic diffusers and now I am obsessed again. This is the best gift that you can get for anyone interested in experimenting with essential oils. I would describe it as a humidifier that you put essential oils in. The diffuser breaks up the water particles and the essential oils into micro particles and diffuses the aroma into the air. This model works for an area 500-800 square feet. I LOVE it. A gift of an ultrasonic diffuser and essential oils is a gift of health and healing.
Gift Idea #2- Mulled Spice Essential Oil Blend The recipient of this oil blend will be able to fill their home with the scent of spicy cinnamon and aromatic clove. Guaranteed to put the grinchiest friend in the holiday spirit. I can’t think of a single person who wouldn’t enjoy this scent. It’s the essential oil that could be given to everyone on your Christmas shopping list.
Gift Idea #3- North Star Essential Oil Blend The wisemen gave the gift of frankincense and myrrh and those are the oils that are included in this lovely Christmas blend. I’ll be honest, when I read the description of this blend it didn’t jump out at me as an oil that I had to have. Upon receiving it I felt differently. The smell reminds me of Christmas. To me it is the smell of walking through the forest after the first snowfall of the season. Woodsy and crisp. It’s the scent of cutting down a Christmas tree, the sap and the earth as opposed to the smell of the needles. I really love this blend. It takes me places.
Gift Idea #4- West Coast Pine Essential Oil Blend This is the scent that everyone wishes filled their house when they bring home a Christmas tree. Make the aroma linger long after the tree stops giving off it’s scent with Westcoast Pine Essential Oil Blend.
Gift Idea #5- Lavender Essential Oil Lavender oil has a multitude of health benefits including eliminating nervous tension, relieving pain, disinfecting the scalp and skin, enhancing blood circulation and treating respiratory problem. Put a few drops on your pillow to cure insomnia. The perfect essential oil to start anyone’s collection.
Gift Idea #6- Essential Oil Starter Pack This selection of popular 100% Pure Essential Oils includes: Lavender, Tea Tree, Eucalyptus Globulus and Peppermint. Wipe out your medicine cabinet and look up all of the natural health remedies these oils can provide. The ultimate choice to start to any collection.

I’m obsessed with making my apartment smell good but with my shoddy memory and a curious 3 year old, candles are slowly being phased out. That diffuser sounds amazing. I would load it up with the west coast pine and inhale forever! (I used a peppermint oil for headaches when I was pregnant and drugs were a no no. It was lovely, but man I missed Motrin.)
