Christmas is just around the corner and I’m counting down the days with my favorite gifts for the creative people in your life.

Day 8- Blendtec 725

Earlier this fall I helped launch the Scratch Mommy e-magazine as the DIY Editor. I’ve had so much fun meeting other creative bloggers, helping them develop the best “Life From Scratch” posts possible and getting to know the original Scratch Mommy Jessica Healey (check out her line of all natural skincare products in the Scratch Mommy Skincare Shop) and Loriel Adams who is the editor in chief and creator of Naturally Loriel.

Another perk of working with Scratch Mommy (besides the fabulous people I’ve met) is the incredible companies they work with. I recently received a Blendtec 725 in the mail and was invited to create a DIY face mask using my new tool!

I have used my Blendtec EVERY SINGLE DAY since receiving it. My naturopath told me that the Blendtec would change my life, and she’s right! It has! Every morning I’ve been whole juicing using my blender, last night I made homemade sprouted peanut butter and it also makes soup and ice cream!!!

I haven’t owned a blender for the past 5 years because I got tired of ice not blending in drinks and food sitting on top of the blade as the blade spun and spun and spun… doing nothing. Oh what a difference a REALLY good blender makes!

In my DIY Blender Face Mask for Radiant Glowing Skin Recipe on Scratch Mommy I blended up the avocado seed with banana, avocado, oatmeal honey, coconut oil and lavender. I blended on soup setting so it made the face mask nice and warm to open the pores on the face and the blender blended up the ingredients, avocado seed and all, to a beautiful face mask consistency.

The design of the blender is beautiful, so I leave it on my counter (which I’ve heard is important for making whole juicing a habit) and cleanup is a breeze– just put a couple cups of warm water in the blender along with a drop of dish soap, hit the clean cycle and your done!
