Welcome to the first week of my new series- Favorite Things Friday. Recently I was at the mall with a group of girlfriends and I said to them “We HAVE to stop in at DAVIDsTEA. One of them had never been to DAVIDsTEA before and the other two had been in once or twice but were relatively new to DT. I took them into the store, shared with them the “must have supplies” for steeping tea and had them smell my favorite teas. 45 minutes later all 4 of us walked out of the store with carrier bags in one hand and a tea pop in the other.
“You should work there,” one of them said.
“I can’t believe how much you know about DAVIDsTEA!” exclaimed the other.
Here’s the thing, when I am passionate about something, I am PASSIONATE about it. I shout my love from the rooftops. And right there the idea of Favorite Things Friday came to me.
Favorite Things Friday will be a post that I write every Friday to share with you something that I love. It’s not a sponsored post, it’s sharing how much I love something with my good friends, my readers. Sometimes I’ll give away one of whatever I’m sharing– so make sure you check back each week.
I drink copious amounts of DAVIDsTEA all year long. 8 months of the year I drink it hot and 4 months of the year I drink it iced. I love a nice warm mug of tea but there is nothing like a chilled glass of iced tea to keep you hydrated on a hot summer day.
This year’s summer collection from DAVIDsTEA includes the following flavors (trust me, you want to try them all):
Mango Fruit Punch
Shooting Star Fruit
Most of the summer collection is herbal based, made with dehydrated fruit, so it’s great for kids to drink to stay hydrated too. Which brings me to the $1.00 Iced Tea Mugs.
Each summer, DAVIDsTEA releases a $1 Iced Tea Mug. Purchase one of the 3 mugs and you can come in as many times as you want during the summer and fill up the mug with the Iced Tea Of The Day for $1! As soon as summer hit I made sure to get myself one of this summer’s cups. What I didn’t anticipate was that my children would steal it from me the moment that I got home! Like their mama, they are DAVIDsTEA fans so back to the store we went to get them the kids sized iced tea mugs.
The kids and I usually go through 2 pitchers of iced tea a day. With my new career the above photo is how I have been spending most of my work days– Set up on our patio with my laptop, my Moleskine notebook, a bowl of local cherries and a Takeya Iced Tea Pitcher filled with iced tea. Since you can brew your iced tea directly in the Takeya it really is the best system for brewing iced tea. Plus I love the fun colors it comes in.
So those friends, are my favorite things this Friday! I’d love to share with me what you are currently swooning over.
