A few weeks ago, Tara from Suburble and I hosted our second West Coast Creative Co Event. The purpose of these events?
- Meet and befriend other fabulous lifestyle bloggers
- Rub elbows with inspiring local entrepreneurs
- Drink good wine
- Eat delicious food
- Be introduced to fabulous brands
- GET YOUR CRAFT ON!!!
Lindsay Faber Photography captured our evening.
Simone, the owner of 4 Cats Kerrisdale was our hostess for the evening. I could spend hours getting lost in her studio, being inspired by all of the art that she and her team have created. 4 Cats teaches a wide array of art classes for aspiring artists young and old. That evening Simone helped each of the ladies create their very own Van Gogh inspired masterpieces.
Kevin was the lucky chef from Milestone’s Robson who got to come and hang out with us gals, prep food in the 4 Cats Kerrisdale Splatter Room and chat with us about all of the delicious dishes on the Milestone’s Fall Menu.
Is there anything better than a glass of really good wine while gabbing with girlfriends? We don’t think so. Haywire Wine and Okanagan Crush Pad provided the wine for the evening including Haywire Rose and Haywire Pinot Gris for drinking at the event and a bottle of Haywire The Bub for a door prize giveaway.
We had two inspiring local entrepreneurs visit us for the event. Sky Marcano (in the black Mandala Sky top) from Mandala Sky joined us for the evening. She created a custom designed t-shirt for each of the attendees and she shared with us how she has used her creativity to become a successful female entrepreneur.
Deland from Counting Sheep Coffee (as seen on Dragon’s Den) also stopped by to give each of the ladies a bag of coffee to take home in their gift bag and to share why Counting Sheep Coffee is the perfect drink for bloggers. It’s the only coffee with valerian root, a natural sedative. Bloggers who stay up late writing can make themselves a cup shortly before bed to help ease them to sleep (aka shut off the million and one blog ideas running through your head).
What else was in the gift bag you ask?
- Cloth Bag from Superstore
- Chalk Paint from Plaid
- Folk Art Paint from Plaid
- Mod Podge Furniture from Plaid
- Stencils from Royal Design Studio Stencils
- Party Supplies from Pick Your Plum
- Coffee from Counting Sheep Coffee
- Custom Designed T-Shirt from Mandala Sky
(Thanks to Jamie from So Much Better With Age for her beautiful gift bag photo!)
One of the things that the brands we work with love is that our bloggers are great about spreading the news far and wide via social media about the fabulous companies that they are being introduced to!
Tamara from Discovering Parenthood won a LightScoop for her beautiful Instagram photos of the West Coast Creative Company event!
Now I know what you are all thinking… that’s all well and good, but DID YOU GET YOUR CRAFT ON?!?!?
Yeah we did! Just look at the beautiful Van Gogh inspired paintings we created at 4 Cats Kerrisdale.
