The birth of my daughter taught me the power of multitasking. That I was capable of taking on more than one challenge at a time, to use time management skills, sort through problems and find solutions.
The birth of my son was a VBAC. With his birth I became much more confident. I became a stronger person, ready to face each challenge that life throws my way and conquer it. His birth made me feel like I can do anything, as long as I believe in myself.
The birth of my children also taught me to love in a whole new deep, profound way.
I recently received an invitation to attend Leading Moms, a half-day inspirational event for moms by extraordinary moms. This third annual event runs Friday, September 26, 2014 at 8.30am at Science World, in Vancouver.
I can’t wait to meet and be inspired by their amazing lineup of speakers who are experts in in media, arts, health, business and more and who ALL ARE MOTHERS!!! Leading Mom’s says “In a mix of performance, video and live talks, our roster of moms will deliver personal talks straight from their heart.” Sounds inspiring doesn’t it?
They will also be giving out the new Leading Mom Award which aims to acknowledge everyday moms who are making an impact locally, nationally, or globally.
Leading Moms has thought of everything and even has free childcare for ticket holders.
Want to join me? Head on over to the Leading Moms website, check out their list of speakers (Tamara Taggart, Andrea Thomas Hill, Louise Green, Madeleine Shaw and more) and pick up your tickets. Use code “lmfriends” to save 15% off your regularly priced ticket.
Also, join us tonight for the Leading Moms Twitter Party at 8:00 pm PST! Follow @Leading Moms on Twitter and use hashtag #LMinspire to join the conversation. (PS There are great prizes to be won.)
Thank you to Kidoodle TV for being a Blog Ambassador Sponsor and for supplying me with my ticket to Leading Moms 2014.
