I grew up in Bellingham, Washington. Every year I looked forward to the 4th of July. Red, white and blue, fireworks, BBQ, potato salad, watermelon and friends getting together to celebrate our country’s freedom.

When I was 19 years old I moved to Canada. Oh Canada! Now I get to celebrate Canada Day and the Fourth of July, just 3 days apart. With my American and Canadian heritage I feel a bit like this:
