Definitely worth making the investment in. I’d highly suggest finding one at a thrift store and refurbishing it. I’m planning a Cast Iron 101 post this fall with refurbishing instructions.

I need to pull it out, but will probably wait until the next move 😉 There is nothing like the taste from a well-seasoned pan and I can still taste (I wish) the fried chicken my grandmother made in hers. Some things really do get better with time. And I’d say you owe your hubby a big kiss for rescuing those 2 pans!!!
