My favorite camp memory was when I was asked to fill in for a week at a girls camp as the camp nurse. As a child we camped in a trailer so it was a bit of an adventure to sleep in a tent. It ended up being a lot of fun despite the raccoons that got into the camp’s kitchen, a mouse that decided one of the girls backpacks would be a good place to sleep, and the bats that swooped around every night. I discovered how much fun it could be and started camping with my children once they were a few years old.
