The last week of June/first week of July is always a fun one for me. It’s the kickoff of birthday season for us, there are 7 members of our immediate family (siblings, us, our kids and our parents) that have birthdays between June 27 and August 16… it’s pretty much a birthday a weekend. If you throw in the birthdays of cousins, aunts and uncles in that time period it would bring us up to about 20 birthdays in a two month timeframe… that’s a lot of parties! The hubs and I also celebrate our anniversary mid August!
The first week of July also holds Canada Day (July 1st) and The Fourth of July! It may seem weird that I get excited about both of these holidays, but for me it means time for a ton of backyard fun! I was born and raised in the US where I spent the first 19 years of my life and then I moved to Canada to go to school and I met my husband here. I have spent my adult life as a resident/citizen of Canada.
Tomorrow I will be celebrating Canada Day with my kiddos, husband and my husband’s siblings and the Fourth of July I will be spending with my kiddos, husband, parents, sister, brother in law and uncle!
