Spring Bird Bookmark Craft

Author: Crystal

Materials

  • Cardstock or construction paper in your favorite colors
  • Pencil
  • Black sharpie
  • Scissors
  • Craft glue
  • Printable Template

Instructions

  • Select colored paper for each piece of the bird. Cut each piece for the bird using the template. For one bird bookmark, you will need– 1 main body, 1 tail, 2 wings, 6 feathers for the wings, 2 feet, 2 eyes, 2 cheeks and 1 beak. Cut each piece.
  • Attach the feather cutouts to the wings using craft glue.
  • Attach the bird’s tail to the body of the bird using craft glue.
  • Attach the eyes and cheeks to the bird’s face using craft glue.
  • Attach the bird’s beak right below the middle part of the eyes and attach the 2 feet along the bottom end of the main body base.
  • Apply a small drop of glue on the part right below the head. We will be attaching a small area of the top of each wing to the body and be keeping the rest of the wings free. Place the top of each wing on the glued part. Attach the second wing and allow to dry. I like placing my bookmarks under a heavy book to make sure the glue is firmly adhered.
  • Have your children use their bookmarks to mark the pages of their favorite books!
