Learn how to use your Cricut Maker to engrave and make a pretty DIY Engraved Quote Bracelet in 10 minutes or less. A beautiful personalized gift idea.
“Cori made me do it!” I said to my husband as I walked in the door with yet another bag from Michaels. It’s nice having crafty friends that you can blame your shopping habit on. The truth is though that she REALLY did make me do it!
Cricut was lovely enough to send me the Cricut Engraving Tip when they released their new Maker Adaptive Tools so I went to Michaels, bought the ImpressArt Bracelet Bending Bar Kit and got to work designing my first bracelet.
Do you know the song “Bushel and a Peck” by The Andrew’s Sisters? It’s from the 1950’s musical Guys and Dolls, which I haven’t actually seen, but for some reason I grew up knowing the song.
When I had my kids, I started singing them the song when I put them to bed at nigh. Now the kids and I always say “I love you a bushel and a peck” to each other.
I decided that the first bracelet I would make would be an “I love you a bushel and a peck” quote bracelet for my daughter.
To get your Cricut Maker to engrave the image or fonts you want it to, you switch the Linetype to Engrave (see image above).
Then you place your ImpressArt blank on the mat, add some tape to get it to stay in place, use the edit function to position your design where you have your blank on the cutting mat and the Cricut does the rest of the work.
It literally took me less than 10 minutes start to finish to make this bracelet, and I think that the actual engraving was only 1 minute of that time!
The new Cricut Engraving Tip (Number 41) opens up so many crafting possibilities. I can’t wait to play with it more!
