There’s something about play dough. I don’t care how old you are, if there is a mound of play dough sitting on a table, it’s hard to resist sinking your fingers into it! It’s so much fun!

My kids are past the traditional play dough loving age, but they still love for me to whip up a batch every once in awhile for an afternoon of sculpting fun!

There are a ton of play dough recipes out there, but this one is my favorite. It really is the best play dough recipe with bright and vibrant colors, a soft pliable feel and it and it smells SO GOOD– all thanks to my not so secret ingredient– Kool Aid!

This homemade play dough can be made in minutes! I love these silicone mats for using whenever my kids are crafting to keep messes off the table and to make cleanup a breeze!

Kool Aid Play Dough Recipe

Have you ever made homemade play dough before? You are going to love this recipe!

Kool Aid Play Dough Recipe

Materials

1 cup flour
1 cup water
¼ cup salt
2 tablespoons cream of tartar
1 tablespoon vegetable oil
1 packet Kool Aid any flavor

Instructions

Combine all ingredients in a small saucepan.
Heat over medium heat, stirring constantly, until a ball of dough begins to form.
Scoop the dough out onto a flour surface and allow to cool slightly. When the dough is cool enough to touch, knead the dough several times until it’s smooth.
Allow to cool completely before playing with the playdough.
