If your face is feeling dry, you won't want to miss this nourishing DIY Face Mask! Made with avocado, honey and oatmeal, this hydrating face mask recipe will have your skin glowing!

Good morning friends! If you are receiving this blog post to your inbox you may be thinking “This isn’t the usual day or time that Hello Creative Family posts!” That’s right! It’s not… but today is kind of a special day for me, and I wanted to share with all of you first. As you are reading this, I am getting ready to appear on CTV Morning Live!

You all know that at Hello Creative Family we love living a handmade, homemade, heart-made life… and I love spreading that info and inspiration far and wide, including on TV! A couple of weeks ago I received an invitation from CTV to come on the show and create some DIY avocado beauty care items with Keri Adams.

I’m so excited that avocados are the ingredient that we’re going to be working with on the show. We always keep a bowl full of Avocados from Mexico in our house! They are always in season, delicious and they have so many uses from food, to beauty care items, to craft projects! On the show (and down below) I’ll be sharing 3 beauty care recipes that are simple to make, and are heavenly for the skin and hair!

I’m also excited because I think that avocados are a very accessible ingredient! I’ve had a lot of friends tell me that they wish they were more crafty, and that they don’t feel like they are very creative. If that’s the way you feel, the kitchen can be a great place to start stretching that creative muscle!

If you take a look at beauty products and packaged food at the grocery store, chances are that there will be a bunch of ingredients listed that you don’t know how to pronounce. Well friends, the beauty of making beauty products (and food) from scratch is that you know exactly what’s inside it! And in the case of the recipes I’m going to be making on the show today, they are all so pure and lovely that you could eat product right off your face!

It would be so much fun to invite some girlfriends over for a spa night, host a little girls “spa Valentine’s Day party, or even have a spa night with the hubby for an at home Valentine’s Day date night!

I hope you enjoy these recipes. Please make sure to check back and I’ll share a link to my TV appearance on CTV Morning Live!
