Like most moms, I’m have daily fights with my picky eater. My son is 3, and he hates most food. Aside from the odd hot dog he refuses to eat meat so I try to add in protein in other ways, like these Blueberry Cheesecake Protein Pops.
I don’t want to say I’m tricking my son into protein, but what he doesn’t know won’t hurt him. I add protein powder to his shakes, oatmeal, and yogurts when I see fit. I, of course, make sure that I purchase a quality whey protein but I never want to sacrifice taste. Thankfully there are a lot of nutritious and tasty protein supplements on the market today.
Aside from the ingredients you will need an ice pop maker (or reusable tubes) to make these work. The ones I’m using in this particular post are from Norpro but I also love my Zoku maker. You can find all of these items from Amazon for a pretty affordable price.
In addition to adding protein to both mine and my son’s diet, these Blueberry Cheesecake Protein Pops are a great way to cool off in this hot weather we have been having. It’s a delicious treat that’s a great fix for my raging sweet tooth.

- 1 scoop vanilla protein powder
- 1/2 cup blueberries
- In a blender combine the milk, cream cheese and protein powder. Blend until smooth.
