This month our theme is dinosaurs which I know is going to be a huge, huge hit! If you have spent much time around kids from toddlers in preschool to elementary school aged kids you know that most kids go through a dinosaur phase at one point or another.

Heck, even adults find dinosaurs fascinating as was proven by the Jurassic Park franchise! Was I the only one who wanted to train a velociraptor after seeing them protect their trainer Chris Pratt and his friends against the terrifying tyrannosaurus rex?

My point is, whether you are a dinosaur obsessed kindergarten kid or a dino loving adult, I think you are going to have a TON of fun with today’s printables! Make sure you read all the way to the bottom of the post to see them all!

Using Dinosaurs With Early Learners

My kids both went through small periods where they were interested in dinosaurs but not as huge as some of their friends.

My son’s buddy had an ABCs alphabet song that he would sing about dinosaurs!

“A, A, Allosaurus! B, B, Brachiosaurus! C, C, Compsognathus!” All the way through with “S, S, Stegosaurus! T, T, Triceratops…” and finally “Z, Z, Zuniceratops! Awesome, roarsome dinosaurs A-Z!”

I had never heard of 3/4 of the dinosaurs he mentioned and was so impressed by his memorization, pronunciation and all of the dinosaur facts that he had memorized about each one!

Doing a dinosaur unit with children is a great way to make learning fun while working on their literacy skills, math skills, fine motor skills and so much more!
