Hi Friends!
It feels like it’s been forever since I’ve posted! I’ve been away from home for almost a month now while my husband and dad renovate our kitchen and I keep the kids occupied. We started our time away with a 10 day camping trip in Washington and now we are hanging out at my mom’s house in Sudden Valley enjoying this gorgeous summer that we’ve been having.
I’ve spent the last week working with my editor putting the finishing touches on Caticorn Crafts which will be released in November, putting together an outline for my next book, spending time at the beach with my kids and mom and of course– crafting with my Cricut.
You didn’t think I’d leave home for a month without my Cricut did you? My Cricut and I have a love affair going and there’s no way I could be away from her for more than a week or two at a time. 😉 Cricut made it so easy for me to take my favourite crafting tool on the road with me, along with all of my Cricut supplies by sending me their Rolling Craft Tote, Machine Tote and EasyPress Totes. I packed them full of all my gear and have everything I need at my finger tips to craft at my mom’s house!
It’s a good thing that taking my crafting supplies on the road with me is so easy, because I have a ton of Cricut crafts planned for all of you– starting with today’s post!
Today I’ve paired up with some of my favourite blogger friends to make flower crafts with our Cricuts! Read to the bottom of this post to enter and to see what everyone made!
The summer is always such a busy time for my family. We have a ton of birthday’s in our family, my friends are having babies and we get to spend time with people who we don’t often see throughout the year.
I find that I do a ton of card making during the summer months, so for today’s flower post I decided to make a flower coloring card.
One of the things that I never get tired of watching, is my Cricut using a pen in the draw function. Seeing the pen draw out designs and writing words always amazes me. The draw function is perfect for making coloring sheets, and I decided to incorporate that into this project.
Today’s card is super simple to make. The card itself is all one layer so there is no gluing needed. The envelope has a pretty liner to give it an extra little pop and can be assembled in seconds with the use of glue dots. It doesn’t even need time to dry. You can easily make this card in less than 10 minutes, or make a bunch of them so that you always have a card on hand to give to a friend!
