Why I Love Witch Crafts
I’ve always been fascinated with magic and the wonder that surrounds it. As a kid, I was drawn to books filled with magical realism and stories where imagination and reality blended together. I loved the idea of being a “white witch” — someone who used magic for good.
Like so many kids, The Wizard of Oz was my favorite movie growing up. Later, as a teen and young adult, I fell in love with classics like Hocus Pocus, Harry Potter and The Craft. My love for magic has only grown stronger as an adult.
Now that I live in Hawaii, Halloween feels even more special. Instead of October having short, cold, gloomy days, spooky season comes with warm breezes and bright skies, but the sense of magic and mystery is still the same.
When my kids were little, Halloween was one of our favorite themes for crafting together. I love decorating for every season, and we usually kick things off with Halloween before carrying the decorating straight through until Easter. My kids even asked if we could have a Halloween tree this year!
Crafting for the holidays has become one of our family’s traditions, and those shared moments are now core memories for all of us. That’s why I adore these witch crafts for kids. They’re easy, low-cost projects that use supplies you probably already have at home (and if not, they’re ones you’ll use again and again for kids’ crafts). Best of all, crafting with your kids is a memory they will treasure forever.
Why Witch Crafts Are So Great For Kids

Witch crafts are not only fun, they’re full of learning opportunities too!
With these Halloween witch crafts, kids can:

- Spark imaginative play and storytelling (who doesn’t love pretending to fly on a broom?)
- Explore creativity with colors, shapes, and textures
- Build excitement for Halloween in a hands-on way
- Create decorations they can proudly display at home or in the classroom
These projects are simple enough for preschoolers but fun enough to keep older kids engaged, making them perfect for family craft nights, classroom parties, or rainy day activities.
