Hi Crafty Friends!
Every year we buy my kids an advent calendar that they open each morning between December 1 and December 24. Last year they had a Harry Potter Funko Advent Calendar, and for 2020 they have asked for a Marvel Funko Advent Calendar.
This year, with Covid we are not going to be able to participate in all of our usual Christmas traditions. So I thought it would be fun to create a new tradition! A family advent calendar filled with 24 days of holiday family fun!
All of these activities can be done in Covid safe ways to keep your family healthy and safe this holiday season.
Filled With Fun Family Christmas Activities!
A few of our favorite ideas:
Day 1: Make Christmas cards using one of these ideas from our friend Jen at 100 Directions.
Day 3: Do Christmas Madlibs using this printable from my friend Heidi at Happiness is Homemade. It takes me right back to childhood.
Day 4: Make DIY Snow Globes using one of these awesome tutorials from my friend Angie at Country Chic Cottage. Make a snow globe using one of your child’s toys with this tutorial from my friend Lindsay at Artsy Fartsy Mama.
Day 5: Invent Crazy Hot Chocolate Recipes, or make Peppermint Hot Chocolate Bombs with this recipe from us!
Day 6: Make decorations! These adorable DIY reindeer hot chocolate ornaments can double as handmade gifts!
Day 7: Bake Christmas cookies with one of these 27+ Christmas cookie recipes!
Day 8: Write a letter to Santa using our Letter To Santa Printable Template.
Day 11: Leave candy canes at neighbors doors with a sweet little handwritten note letting them know you are thinking of them.
