The Family Story Behind “Cutie Pie”
Here is a little personal story that makes this design extra special.
Years ago when my husband and I first started dating, my sister called while he was at my house. I handed him the phone for their first introduction and she asked him to describe himself.
He said, “I am Filipino, I have longer black hair, a bit of facial hair… I think I am a cutie pie.”
We burst out laughing and he has never lived it down. Now any time anyone says “cutie pie,” all eyes in the room go straight to him, and our kids know the story too.
So this design is a love note to that moment and to all the adorable cutie pies out there.
