Hi Crafty Friends! It’s the third Thursday of the month and you know what that means! It’s time for a brand new SVG collection! This month’s my friends and I created a collection of cut files that are perfect for decorating your home for fall– whether that means throw pillows, front door signs or doormats!

I know that it’s extremely trendy to love fall. Pumpkin, pumpkin spice, apple picking, warm comfy cardigans, crisp fall air– I love all of those things, but what I don’t love is fall itself. For me, there is always a sense of dread as the last days of summer tick away and fall looms ahead of us.

As I’ve gotten older I’ve come to realize that if I’m dreading something, it’s probably a good idea to analyze it and try to figure out why you are feeling that way. So I did just that– “Why don’t you like fall?” I asked myself.

The biggest reason I dread fall is because of the shorter, darker days. If fall consisted of just beautifully colored trees framed by bright blue sky I would be thrilled, but in the PNW it gets dark by 5:00 and we get a lot of soggy rain in the autumn. Bleck.

I’m also quite a bit of a homebody, which lends itself well to that whole Hygge feeling BUT fall means that my kids go back to school, and the hustle and bustle of real life starts up again. I love the lazy days of summer, having my kids home and all the quality time we get together.

I find that one of the best ways to get through tough seasons in your life is to surround yourself with things that make your heart happy. I think that’s why creating a hygge life (the Danish word and idea of creating a feeling of cozy contentment and well-being in your home) in the autumn is so popular.

I love decorating our front door for each season because I believe the front door is the first impression of your home. In the past I’ve decorated by putting a sign or wreath on our front door, but recently I started creating my own front door mats too! My design for this collection is perfect for decorating your front entryway with. The design says welcome and has a pretty hand drawn pumpkin above.

Not only does it look gorgeous on a doormat, it’s also super cute for a sign to decorate your front door or your mantle with.
