You’ve tried a pumpkin spice latte, but have you tried pumpkin spice apple cider? This easy crockpot recipe takes just 5 minutes of prep. Let it simmer in your slow cooker or instant pot and smell the scents of cinnamon, apple and nutmeg fill your home!
Hi crafty friends!
Today I’m bringing to you a super delicious recipe that you and your family are going to love!
One of my favorite childhood scent memories is the smell of apple cider simmering in my godmother’s crockpot. When we would visit her house on fall days, she would fill her crockpot with apple cider and mulling spices and leave it on the countertop simmering.
The whole house would be filled with the smell of apple, cinnamon, nutmeg, cloves and allspice. It smelled like comfort, and I remember feeling so grown up taking the ladle and serving up mugs full of steaming hot cider.
Pumpkin Apple Cider with Aromatic Fall Spices
Today I’m going to share with you my own version of this fall staple. It uses pumpkin, either from a can or if you prefer you can use homemade pumpkin puree using my instructions here. It’s also filled with all of those good autumn spices that you find in pumpkin pie spice. Again you can buy pumpkin pie spice from the store, or make my homemade blend using my Pumpkin Spice Recipe.
Simmer this recipe in your slow cooker or Instant Pot. It is going to fill your home with the most beautiful, mouthwatering scent! It’s perfect to set on the counter on Halloween, Thanksgiving or during any fall or winter gathering.
